I have worked as a journalist in my native Colorado for more than 20 years, climbing my way up the local newspaper ladder before turning to a freelance career. I found my true niche as the health and fitness editor for the Boulder Daily Camera in 1996 and eventually moved on to become the staff health and fitness writer for the Rocky Mountain News. After leaving that post, I continued to freelance for this major metropolitan daily before its closure in February, 2009. Since switching to a freelance career, I have covered many topics, including business, parenting and home and gardening.
